Listened as an audiobook and was highly enjoyable. Starts off a little on the slow side but the pace increases as the book goes on. I’ve wanted to read books by Adichie for a while now and this was the first of her I’ve read. This book has solidified that I will be reading more by Adichie.

Ultimately Purple Hibiscus is a story that blurs the line between right and wrong and explores complex human relationships in the face of love, abuse, and religion. Would highly recommend.

Brilliant. Easy to read and captivating, yet written with such intension and complexity that I am left wanting to know so much more. The novel’s questions of morality will stay with me.
Would Papa have been so generous without his religious intolerance guiding his every step? What good can we learn from religion before it becomes its own evil?

El libro del mes de febrero en el club de lectura "Entre letras y café". Tres estrellas para una primera novela bien narrada aunque bastante efectista (¿influencia del estilo TedEx?).
