Good twists along the way with a nice, rapid sprint 3/4ths of the way in.

This is my new favourite of Catherine Ryan Howard!!

Excellent little mystery. What is it about mysteries set in Ireland? Love them.

Fun times, I love this writer. Her books feel unique to me, I read a lot of thrillers but hers stand out. Not quite to the level of them being all time favourites yet, but I have a great time. I’ll pick up everything she writes for sure!

This book is set many years after the crime and flashes back to the time period it was committed. This keeps us always guessing, I found myself surprised many times. My guesses about what really happened were also all wrong, which I find the hallmark of a good thriller.

We get a college setting here with an especially interesting exploration of friendship and jealousy. The world is quite bleak, even in the college scenes, but it does totally draw you in. I do love it being set in Dublin as well.

Overall, great character development, brilliant pacing and fun twists. A really tense, entertaining thriller. Highly recommend.
