Listened to the audio book via Libby. Convoluted but I hung in there. Likes the narrator who unfortunately I cannot name.

This book bounces between Anna and Cass’s POVs, so if that’s hard to keep straight for you I’d not recommend.
Graphic: Blood
Split this between print and audiobook. I got about 70 pages in and realized this was not for me.
POV: Grieving spouse that heard her husband's final moments during a phone call; now trying to process what happened:
"When I finally reach a Starbucks six miles from The Sycamores, i realize I really need to stop and buy a Keurig because I can't do this every day. How do these people live so far away from good coffee? It's incredible. I order two iced mochas, so I can put one in the freezer for tomorrow until I can find a department store. I mean, where is the nearest Macy's even?"
The next page had "I take out a bag of Whole Foods groceries from my trunk and..."
...and I realized that life is too short. The questionable "ethnic" voices used by the narrator for secondary characters took this from 1 to a No out of 5.

The character development at the end could have been viewed as predictable, but I thought it was top notch and heart warming. I was not expecting the twist. If you like thrillers and are in need of a slow burn turned edge of your seat twist, I recommend!
