I’m going to start off by saying this book is good. GREAT even, and a very easy 5 star read. But the setting? It blew me AWAY. I felt like I was at this motel/apartment complex and was sitting by the pool with the gals while the kids splashed around. Seraphina Nova Glass transported me right into the setting and it felt like I was watching a vivid movie as I was reading. Who would have thought that a simple setting such as this would play such a huge role in my love for the novel. It was absolutely perfect for this twisted psychological thriller.

This story is filled with great twists. I did NOT see them coming either. The fact that the author could successfully surprise me, a seasoned thriller reader who feels like she’s read it all, is astounding. There’re so many layers to this novel too and one would think that the alternating POVs would get confusing, but they don’t. In fact, they blend so perfectly together I never felt lost even for a second. Honestly, I think this may be one of my favorite thrillers of 2024 and I’m anxious to read the author’s backlog! Highly recommended!

I could NOT stop listening to this audiobook. The story was the kind of thriller that sneaks in teeny little hints here and there but still amazes you as the end of the book nears.

I worried for the characters and hoped things would end a certain way for many of them because the author wrote detailed backstories for every single character.

I will happily be listening to this audiobook again in the future and am very excited to read more of the author’s books!

Wasn’t bad, I liked the story and ending. Wasn’t sure how it was all going to fall into place

Almost DNF'd this, probably should have. The setting was the most interesting part, but the characters felt like caricatures. The ending felt a little too effortless.

I really tried to complete this one but the pace is way too slow for me and it was kinda boring tbh:((

This book follows the lives of Cass and Anna. They both live in the same hotel-turned apartment complex. Their lives are both filled with drama and in general very unrealistic circumstances. I could not predict what was happening or how it would turn out. It was a quick read but I didn’t really like any of the characters except Frank.

So far I've enjoyed Seraphina's books. I wasn't blown away shocked but it had enough twists and turns to make me want to finish. Not sure why but I had been expecting some sort of big Anna secret at the end.
