This book was fine. I didn’t feel very invested in any of the story lines except the one with the kid. It had some twists but just didn’t grip me
Thank you to NetGalley, Harlequin Trade Publishing, and Seraphina Nova Glass for this ARC!
This is a dual POV thriller I won’t soon forget! Told through the perspectives of Cass and Anna, this story kept me intrigued from the moment it began. While I did discover the twist on my own about half-way through, Glass really did a wonderful job keeping the story interesting until the very end.
Although I did enjoy this story, I felt the setting at this motel turned apartment complex was not my favorite and I found the conclusion of the story a tad bit cheesy.

This is good so far but I must say Cass is so pathetic. She’s not bright, but thinks she is. And I don’t like her at this point in the story….Her vigilante thing is unbelievable and makes no sense. Her stupid ass is getting back at everybody except her ex boyfriend. It’s hard to feel sorry for this loser. Her Fuckboy ex convinced her stupid ass not to have a job and stay home and play housewife even though they were not married. he gets sick of her starts cheating kicks her out and now she’s living in this nasty, rundown motel Also, she has no friends. How are you as an adult woman with zero friends?? It makes no sense. Anna is another woman whose husband died and she’s living in his nasty rundown motel to find out how and why. Just hire a private investigator, dummy. You have the money It’s infuriating. Her lying ass husband was obviously leading a double life, and she just let it ride. And now that he was murdered, she feels entitled to all the answers when if she had just been paying attention, she would have some answers.
Then with the plot twist, idgaf about Henry. He was an awful lying husband and did not deserve a redemption arc.
