Two Kelly Medinas. One young with a new born. One with a son off at college and a husband that works away throughout the week and comes home on the weekends. Both have some things they are not proud of. One is desperate for something to do so hanging out with the new Kelly that’s in town and her new born baby seems like the perfect way to keep her busy and feeling wanted again. But something is not right. One of them is lying.
This book had all the twists that kept me hunger for more. Loved how the characters were brought to life as their stories unfold with each page. Highly recommend!!

I was shaking my head by the end of the book. The word pathetic just kept rolling through my mind.
There were leaps of logic that made no sense like why the protagonist would have some new fixation to find a woman with the same name. It all just seemed ridiculous and I really hated the obvious villainry of the husband. I felt it just equated to lazy writing that he couldn't be a bit more multi-dimensional.
The writer was good at building suspense and having a couple surprises but overall, it just felt like a spit in the face of women.
Save your time. Read something else.

I really enjoyed the plot as well as the twists and turns of this story. My eyes were often widening as I gasped at something I’d just read. It was hard to tell what was real and what wasn’t which kept me turning pages to find out. I will be on the lookout for more books by this author!

I read this in one afternoon because I couldn’t put it down. This is a great suspense novel that keeps you both guessing and turning pages quickly. Could I be picky and find flaws? I’m sure. But my thing when I’m reading suspense or thrillers is that I don’t want it to be too easily predictable. I want a good twist. And this one definitely delivered there.

I read this book to get myself out of a reading slump.
It was excellent for that. I would actually say I rated this 3.5 but rounded up to 4.
I enjoy the intrigue, the mystery, the twists. I enjoyed how quickly the book was paced. I enjoyed how the characters stayed true to their arcs.
I wouldn’t consider anyone in this book the “hero”. None of the characters are especially likable and I wasn’t ever rooting anyone on. I was just along for the messy ride.
This isn’t a masterful work of art, but definitely speaks to my lifetime movie, desperate housewives as a guilty pleasure self.
