What a fun ride!! Even though Kelly is clearly an unreliable narrator, I found myself rooting for her. After the first “twist” I was disappointed, but then things looked up again!
When
she drops Sullivan I actually screamed out loud and then when I saw it was just her daydream….wow lol that definitely got me because I wouldn’t put it past a woman in her state to actually go through with it
I was quite satisfied with the ending too. The overall plot is pretty used up, but it’s one of my favorites, so I don’t mind! “I want what you have” is definitely a fav thriller trope for me, and I’ll always enjoy the ride :)

This would have been 2.5 stars - overall, it's mediocre as far as mysteries go, and nothing *new* really - but that last 5 minutes though . . .

Well this was real fun and fast, which was exactly what I was after. I was expecting this to be somewhat generic but it pleasantly surprised me, something about it just worked very well for me

Thank you to Pigeonhole for the opportunity to read this. Unfortunately a disappointing ending totally spoiled what was otherwise a reasonably gripping thriller. In the attempt to raise the tension we strayed outwith believability and into cheap narrative tricks that had me groaning in frustration that the author had chosen to go there.
