ngl i did not enjoy this as much as i wanted to :/ dramatic in all the wrong ways, neither main character was lovable (which can work, if done correctly), and good god i hate second person pov. my toxic trait is being unable to put down a book, even if it’s terrible, and so here i am. it wasn’t… Terrible. just. not good?

This book was not good from the start and i really had to drag myself through, but nevertheless I was intrigued by the little flashbacks and the notion that Kelly was hallucinating everything. Overall, I didn't find a single character likeable and the twists were not super surprising. I don't regret reading it at all, but I think it'd make a better movie than book.

What a fun ride!! Even though Kelly is clearly an unreliable narrator, I found myself rooting for her. After the first “twist” I was disappointed, but then things looked up again!
When
she drops Sullivan I actually screamed out loud and then when I saw it was just her daydream….wow lol that definitely got me because I wouldn’t put it past a woman in her state to actually go through with it
I was quite satisfied with the ending too. The overall plot is pretty used up, but it’s one of my favorites, so I don’t mind! “I want what you have” is definitely a fav thriller trope for me, and I’ll always enjoy the ride :)
