When one reads this book, one might enjoy the artwork, though one might also find oneself mildly exasperated by the grammatical structure one contends with in perusal of the accompanying text.

Utterly charming and delightful. I was fortunate enough to attend his SRO talk at the NB library and Brian is as intersting as his book.

It's alright. Tried a bit too hard to be funny, but still cute.

I've long been a fan of Brian Kesinger's artwork, and I'm a HUGE cephalopod buff -- so you can just imagine my delight at discovering HE HAS A BOOK ABOUT OTTO AND VICTORIA. The quickest of reads, this would be a delightful choice for a sit-down with a small child. The illustrations are charming and the small captions fun and light. A must have for fans of Victorian fashion, steampunk elements, and octopodes. :D

Absolutely adorable and amazing! The artwork alone is fantastic, but the "guidebook" itself is also so witty and entertaining! It's a really quick read, but I could look at these illustrations for ever! There are tiny Cthulhu toys! What!

I think the back of the book alludes to the illustrator being a Disney illustrator!? And I'm pretty sure it makes a Toy Story reference!? Maybe!? Am I right?

I really might buy a copy of this. I want to show it to everyone!

This is a beautiful book, filled with creative steam punk themed pictures, that tells the delightful story of a girl and her octopus. What more does anyone really need?

It is larger than I expected, so it will have to be displayed creatively instead of shelved normally. Since I bought it from the publisher (http://www.babytattoo.com/home) my copy even has little metal corners on the cover for extra appeal. Speaking of the publisher - my copy arrived almost immediately after ordering. Two days, tops. Amazing. I suspect magic was involved. Maybe even flying owls.
