I hadn't read Alice in years, so when I wanted a quick, light listen to break up heavier reads, I decided to reread this classic. It's so delightfully odd. While listening, I discovered an anecdote about its origin - Lewis Carroll on a boat ride with friends and their children, making up a story to keep the young ones entertained. Listening to the book, I could just imagine someone coming up with increasingly bizarre and funny twists and turns as young children listen and laugh at Alice's adventures. A fun read perfect for your next family chapter book.
