This was a delightfully sweet and spicy holiday romance that put me in the mood for all things festive. The story follows Chef Mike, who finds himself hosting the baking competition our funny and sexy Alice competes in. She's obsessed with him, and thankfully he becomes obsessed with her!
The baking show setting provides a fun, high-stakes backdrop that perfectly complements the blossoming relationship between Mike and Alice. This was entertaining, hilarious, and definitely heated up the kitchen!
Baby Cakes is the Christmas story I didn't know I needed. Tilly's blend of sweetness and spice results in a delightful holiday romance that not only charmed me but will charm you! This book is the perfect cozy read to curl up with during the winter season!

Alice just lost her job and her cousins signed her up for a baking competition reality show. It just so happens to be the show judged by her biggest crush chef Michael. There is an instant connection between the two and the quickly form a romance, but can it survive the media scrutiny?

This sweet confection of a book is a delight! Chef’s kiss! Baby Cakes is two novellas in one book, and it couldn’t be more of a treat. Alice Hatter is a contestant in a baking show, and one of the judges is her obsession, Michael Kesso. The second their eyes meet, it’s electric! Nothing can happen, though, until judging is over, at least it’s not supposed to.
I had so much fun reading this book! Like all of SJ Tully’s books, it’s fast paced with great world building and amazing characters. This one is also holiday themed, sparkly and bright. I love that Michael is as obsessed with Alice as she is with him and that their love is so instant. Even though the couple face some challenges along the way, there’s still plenty of spice and humor. If you are looking for a charming, holiday treat of a read, then Baby Cakes is the book for you!
I highly recommend Baby Cakes. Read it and let me know what you think - I’d love to discuss.

This is a trilogy of Michael and Alice’s story all in one book. It all begins when she is entered into a baking contest, and it just so happens that the one man that she has been fantasizing over for years is the celebrity judge. She is excited to finally meet him in person … although extremely nervous as well. Michael wants to take a break, but he agrees to do this baking contest before time off, what he didn’t expect is to meet the woman of his dreams. He is immediately smitten. The beginning of the love story between Michael and Alice is very quick, intense, and spicy. I was not expecting to be as hooked on these characters as I was. Once I really got into the story, which pretty much started in the first chapter, I could not put it down and I read all three books in one night. This book was sweet, fun, had great chemistry and characters, and a few twists. This is a great holiday read and any lovers of Chopped, or baking competition shows will love this trilogy. I hope that you enjoy Alice and Michael’s story as much as I did. I cannot wait to see what is store for us next from this author.

Is loved too strong a word? I don't think so. Baby Cakes is the complete series of Alice and Micheal. Alice is down on her luck but ends up a contestant on Second Bite's holidays show, hosted by Chef Michael Kesso (modeled after P Hollywood). She's been obsessed with him forever and he falls fast. After scolding her on national TV he sets off to find her and make it up to her and the sparks fly... from there we head to Snowed In Bite which follows Chef Mike headed to Canada for the New Years episode when a storm hits and he's diverted to a cabin for Christmas day... and finally New Years Bite which follows the taping of that episode and wraps up the whole series.
I loved this. It was light and fun with good bits of spice, exactly what you hope for from a holiday book. Alice and Michael are both so damn lovable, I couldn't get enough.

𝐎𝐡 my goodness, this series was spicy!
Alice Hatter joins the baking competition Second Bite, where her celebrity crush, chef Michael Kesso, is a judge. He's the most attractive man she's ever seen, and she can't help but be mesmerized by him. Little did she know, sparks would fly the moment their eyes met.
𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 instant connection was intense and exciting. Michael was clearly smitten with Alice. It was almost like an obsession, which was quite fun to read. Both main characters' inner dialogues had me in stitches.
𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐞 trying to keep things professional, their amazing chemistry was caught on camera and went viral. As their relationship became public, some drama ensued, but Michael was determined to show the world Alice was his. It was incredibly sweet. Made me wish I had my own growly celebrity chef too!
𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥, this series was a blast. Each novella follows the same couple as they navigate a baking competition, public scrutiny, and working together. If you're looking for a fun and spicy read, this holiday romance hits the spot.
A big thank you to SJ Tilly for this fun ARC. All opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
