I really enjoyed this story. It had just enough dark to it and it was perfect for me. It's not overly dark and fits into romantic suspense genre perfectly. I wouldn't consider this a dark romance. I liked Jack and loved Stella. Jack leaves you not knowing all that happened and so you question how good of a guy he is, what part did he actually play in everything. But you get to see redeeming qualities the whole time. I loved the byplay between Jack and Stella. They both are snarky and it makes for interesting reading. There was action and suspense as we try and figure out what is actually going on and happened in the past with Jack, Eric, and Magnus. The sex is explicit and plays a part but it fits the characters and the story. I was entertained the whole time.

Eh.....solid 3 but could be more
This was a great idea for a book. But depth was missing in the beginning. Pieces weren’t aligned and I went from being at “ its an undercover gig” to “love-ish”. Feel like I missed the transition on Stella’s part.
