I’m a sucker for a sports romance novel. I loved the *steamy* romance between Travis and Georgie, even though it’s a trope I usually don’t go for (forbidden romance). It also is a fake dating trope, too, which I LOVE. I just really liked this one and can’t wait to read the next in the series! I removed a star because I am SO OVER the miscommunication/secret keeping storyline in romance novels. Come on, no one miscommunicates THAT MUCH!

→ Things I Liked: humor, great chapter lengths, genuine chemistry

→ Things I Disliked: miscommunication/secret keeping trope

The spice in this book was absolutely phenomenal. There were some very strange aspects I couldn’t get over- such as Georgie being a clown- but I think I thoroughly enjoyed it as the book went on and we got to know the characters better. Cute premise, and it was pretty sweet.

I didn’t want this book to end. I could read about Georgie and Travis forever. Tessa Bailey, if you’re reading this, please, I beg you, write more Georgie & Travis books. I’ll take an additional novella or a 500+ page novel. Whatever you think is best.

This was such a fun read but I couldn’t get over the “baby girl” nickname every 5 minutes. But it involved my favorite trope — fake dating, so of course I still liked this book. I’m not sure I really loved Travis all that much, but him and Georgie are adorable. Can’t wait to read book 2.

Also her brother and his wife are so annoying go away
