Its not you, Its me..

I've come to the decision that Kerri Maniscalo writing is not for me.

The fact that the female protagonist - Emilia is meant to be this confident, intelligent woman yet she make the most stupidest decisions time and time again, not to mention that she always walked into danger and everyone else had to save her.

I found Kingdom of the Wicked to be tedious, boring and predicable but I do think that if you are new to the fantasy genre or you liked the stalking jack the ripper series, you would most likely enjoy this.

I wanted to love this, but it didn't deliver the clever mystery or the compelling love story. It was all just... kind of confusing? It felt like information was withheld to create suspense, instead of actually being a mystery to solve, and when things were revealed it felt random or contrived instead of revelatory.
