Again, Ford has strike.
I like the Frost files so much. It was easy and fast to read.
I really like to have Annie’s POV.
We could follow two different yet linked stories.
I didn’t rates it 5 stars for two reasons :
1. I didn’t like the “she-lost-her-power” trope. At least, she kinda got them back fast but when she lost her power… I also lost a bit of my motivation to continue reading. It is not my favorite trope but I decided to keep faith and im glad to have keep it
2. The plot was not as good? Like I thought we would have answers about Chloe and Adam but we still have no answers, only questions. Yes, the “big hostage scene” was linked to them but at the same time what did it really tell us…? Chloe has a lot of influence and power. Teagan was (is?) in lot of government trouble. Adam is clearly broken.
At least (!), Annie is alive and her relationship with Teagan has come back stronger (cute)

Also, I did like the character development of each character. No matter who and I much, it felt like everyone changed throughout the book and I really liked that.
But I was a little disappointed (?) about Teagan’s love interests…? Nic vs Mister German… it seems like Teagan really forgot how Nic was not nice at all to her at some point. Schmidt is not perfect either but Teagan seemed so sure of her choice, I didn’t like that.
I wish something more happened between Schmidt and Frost so that she could really be mixed up in her feeling
. But at the same time, I understand why Ford didn’t do this… Frost needed her head clean, you know, being a super agent and stuff. No time for distraction.
Can’t wait for the next book hoping we will finally have answers.
