I wasn't expecting much of this story given the title, but it was so much better & I feel it deserves a much better title than the cheesy name it's stuck with. I can understand that it wouldn't be to everyone's tastes. At times I almost put it aside but I persevered. Even at the end, I struggled with Alexa, not always finding anything likable in her. But ultimately, I liked the idea that the best thing for you isn't always that which you would choose yourself. We should be able to look at society & accept that not everyone's relationship is going to be exactly the same as everyone else. Broaden your horizons & accept the change.

Oh my word. I can't believe this is a series.

I read this on holiday in 2012 and really enjoyed it, Donna McDonald has a great talent for storytelling. I'll keep this short but I really enjoyed the characters, the chemistry and the plot.

Book 2 is definitely on my list to read...

So I had a picture in my mind of what a cougar was, not just the actual animal cougar, but the women who are now referred to as cougars. I saw an older woman, not sure how old but older than your usual bar crowd I guess, who was looking for a younger man. And by looking, I mean actively seeking someone to date who is significantly younger, I guess I saw someone who was a predator like the animal, wearing tight clothes to lure in some young meat. That sounds terrible, but that is what always came to mind with the word cougar. Also, wearing animal print was up there on my list. This book turned that notion around. Yes there was an age difference, but Alexa was not out there looking to meet a younger man, she wasn't even looking to meet anyone, it simply happened and then the age difference came front and center and had to be dealt with. I read this book as a free downloads and I wasn't sure if it would be any good since I had never heard of it. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I really liked the characters and came to care about them. I am even considering looking into reading more in the series.

I read this book as a free e-book on my Ipod. When I just checked now it is still listed as a free book. Since my Ipod is still pretty new I've been trying out different features and wanted to see what it would be like to read a book on it. I love that it tells me what page I am on of how many and also that it says how many more pages are still to go in my current chapter. I love that feature because if it is less than ten or twenty I will finish the chapter before stopping, but if it is more like forty I will just bookmark it. The tiny screen isn't the best place to read, but being back lite really helped while we didn't have power, except I used up the battery and then had to wait to charge it!

It was an ok story about a 50 year old former lingerie model/buisness owner dating a 38 year old former marine. It was a cute story, but personally did not have a lot of substance

Yawn yawn I have never had such a trouble to read! What could I say... Very boring story, and bloody rubbish sex scenes.

3 stars including the fact that it was a kindle freebie and the pairing older female-younger man plot was refreshing.
Also, the heroine's friends and daughters were likeable.

I really liked this book. It's a great story and it's really sexy. It makes you a little excited at times. Then the ending is really sweet and makes you feel relieved.

I think this is the first free Kindle book that I have been really disappointed in. While the character development was pretty good, I guess I did not really like the characters. Casey Carter was an arrogant, caveman-like figure. He felt that Alexa needed to follow his whims, and listen to his demands. In my opinion he was lucky to have caught the attention of a beautiful and successful older woman. Being male does not give one the right to dominate - and I feel that McDonald portrayed this as a fact. She created dominating and selfish male characters, and diminished the female characters by doing so.

This one was ok. The characters were interesting but I didn't feel really connected to them. The story was original and interesting, I think the possessive nature of the ex-Marine (Casey) is what really turned me off. Overall though not a bad read.
