A quick but powerful read. Very poetic and meaningful. Discusses our responsibility for our actions to the Earth without hitting readers over the head with baseball bat.

Love poems to Earth from a Kiowa tribesman. N. Scott Momaday has combined love poetry with semiautobiographical tidbits. His love for Earth is apparent in his descriptions of everything from a sunrise to a buffalo. Full of reminders of how we should be treating Earth in comparison to how we actually are treating Earth.

I couldn't help but mouth the words in this book as I read them. It's spoken word on paper. I think I’ll have to read it a few more times, slower, to truly understand its stories.
