A touching and emotional love story about accepting the different and going against the patriarchy. The characters were loveable, and the MMC was the sweetest and most gentle being! The FMC was feisty and the perfect lady for the Headless Horseman. There was humor, too. Loved it!

Judging this book as a "popcorn" read, I still feel like this book didn't completely land for me. It was a cute premise and had some good scenes, but overall I felt like the book moved along too fast to get its footing. Things could have been explained more in depth to flush out the story and add more intrigue. Also, MMC was really not consistent. the way he jumped from a gentle, calm guy to a possessive dude with a prey drive during their first spicy time had no lead up. And the way he flipped from "antisocial, wasily overwhelmed protector from the side lines" to urging the town to assimilate into human society without ever previously mentioning this as an inner motivation was really odd to me.

Was enchanted by the cover and decided to not wait for Halloween. All the rules and regulations placed Eleanor through with her freaking village and her uncle made be so annoyed!! I would have made the same choices she did when it came to escaping that life. She didn’t need some Lord Dickhead to be her husband, she needed her knight in shining pumpkin! I absolutely loved Osiris and the concept behind how his energy is contained in his pumpkin. It’s such a neat way to do the headless horsemen. I love that he loved to garden and the orphanage. Their start may have been bumpy for them, but I am so glad they found each other in the end. Also the use of shadows *chefs kiss*. I even enjoyed the vampire neighbor “Your uncle tastes awful!” Absolutely cracked me up. My only wish is that it was a little longer, but overall is was lovely and I absolutely enjoyed it.
