I feel like this volume really wrapped up the series well. I mean, I know it's not over, issue 13 just dropped last week, but this 2nd volume very much connects to the first volume and I feel like the story it was telling concluded nicely. I'm interested to see where they plan on taking the series next, actually.

I got a little annoyed with the two brothers arguing back and forth over and over again in this volume, "take me back, Now!" "No, you don't belong there" blah, blah, blah, but the action (especially issue 10) more than made up for any of the nitpicks that I had.

Also...10/10 for the creature designs! I'm not too crazy about Lorenzo De Felici drawing real human people...but he sure can make a damn cool monster!

All in all...fun volume. Enjoyed it as much as the first. I don't know what else they have left to do with this series but I'm willing to tag along for the time being and see where things go from here.

This builds on and improves the story from Volume 1. Definitely has potential.

Finished volume 2 on my lunch hour. I was honestly hoping that they would make Edward the villain for the series but it doesn't look like that'll be the case. Oh well. On to vol. 3.

I found it strange that Kirkman had such a significant time jump so early in the story. From having read the Walking Dead over all these years I expected the story to be a little more drawn out. While I'm enjoying it I can't really imagine it lasting more then 20 or so more issues.

3.5 stars. Story is still going strong with intriguing plot. definitely an enjoyable read and one i can recommend. Lacks multiple dynamic characters outside the main one Nathan. All the other characters are a bit flat - the supporting characters are just that, supports that lack the fleshed out characters that would take this series to the next level. Although i don't plan to buy a physical copy, i think some readers will enjoy it enough to own it and i couldn't argue against its purchase. I'll continue reading series as its a pretty fun series.

This one has me hooked and I'm interested in seeing where the story goes. It's been a slow build up so far - a bit slow to take 24 issues to get to this point, but the story keeps unraveling nicely and has me intrigued as to what happens next. If this is your genre of choice, you may wan to pickup the collected edition of this. For me, I think digitally reading is good enough - I'm interested in seeing where it goes, but not sure if I'd read it again.
