The plot was okay but I immediatel lost interest after the FMC meets the first guy, it was underwhelming after all of the "my knight" business. Too insta-love for my taste and the writing was a bit average overall.

This book was interesting! It had a unique premise and a badass FMC, which is always appreciated.
My main concern with it was the pacing. I caught myself losing a bit of interest around the halfway mark, and it took me a while to get it back. What brought me back was the aura plotline.

(Slight spoilers)
I really liked that certain colors of her aura were attracted to a certain man. However, this kinda led me to believe that she was gonna have 7 mates, and I was a little disappointed to find out that that wasn't the case. I get it though, because 3+ love interests isn't for everyone and probably not something that interests most RH fans.

Overall, I think this series has potential! Also, I'm a sucker for a cute dog that kicks ass too, so I loved Axel!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Oh that naughty cliff-hanger!!!

If you want a badass lead female, beautiful and dark worldbuilding, and tough yet soft lead males, this is the novel for you!

I am absolutely in love with this novel, I couldn't get enough of it! The world-building is extremely well done, no info-dump occurring - instead a flowing narrative that introduces plot-points and characters seamlessly.

Each character perspective/narration had their own personality and voice, building on both their own storyline as well as the communal narrative, and this distinction made the jumps between characters smooth. Additionally, the changes between narration are well placed - not jumping for the sake of jumping - but instead flowing along as a natural change.

I look forward to the continuation of this series, as I still can't get enough of that CLIFFHANGER!!!!!

Thank you to BookSirens and Melody Calder for the opportunity to read this novel for free in return for an honest review.
