I don’t think I have the words to accurately describe what I’m feeling again. But I shall give it A GO.

1. This is an absolute TOP TIER book. The world building alone transcends everything. Then you factor in this insane magic system with political intrigue? It’s literally a phenomenal book. No, I won’t take arguments.

2. The character development was also insanely well done. To see Theon, Tessa, Luka, Axel change from book one to two was such a rollercoaster and I loved it.

3. The relationships in this is so gut wrenching. It’s the name of the game with everyone being enemies. But you can’t help but to look for redemption for some of these people (AHEM, Theon). And to start introducing the MFM aspect of it? CHEFS KISS.

Those are my few thoughts at the moment. I cannot fave about this book enough. What an absolutely stunning sequel to ROSAE.

P.S. I love you, Melissa. You deserve a vacation and $1 million dollars. But after that….. you think you can give us book 3?

Okay, I think I’m officially hooked & totally invested in the characters now. While sometimes I got a tad overwhelmed by all the lore & character name dumping (I literally think I need to make or obtain a mind map with all the players in this lol), I really found myself wanting to know more with each chapter that finished.

It took me a while to get on-board with Axel having his own chapters, but by the end I think it was necessary to include! Nothing against the fella, I actually really love his character - I just tend to stay invested in the main "couple" *wink.

Luka is my fav character ❤️

I’m unsure if I’ll be diving into book #3 right away (I‘m a tad fatigued bc they are such long-ass books lol), but I’m looking forward to finding out where the story will take me & these characters!
