Tessa’s growth is so satisfying—watching her stand up for herself after being walked all over is huge, but her back-and-forth attitude with Theon can be frustrating. She wants trust but doesn’t open up, and the tension between them just keeps getting worse. That said, I’m excited to see where her journey goes next.
Luka really shined this time, even more than Theon, and by the end, the characters finally start stepping up. But let’s be real—Team Axel and Kat all the way. They’re perfect, and I just need Melissa to be nice to Axel in book three.

This series reminds me of a show that would have been on the CW, the angst, the drama, the atmosphere are all conducive for a riveting read. Having said that, Tessa is frustrating with her inability to listen to anyone or hear any explanations, which to be fair its hard to keep up with who is lying to who, so it makes sense for the story, but ultimately is very frustrating to read. When she finally stands up for herself she managed to somehow make me feel bad for Theon which was confusing.
