Good reminders on working with people we do not like for the greater good.

If I could quote the whole book in this review, I would.

This is the most inspiring book I've read all year. I can see myself reading so many chapters independently in the future. Hayes and Kaba write in a way that is so easy to grasp in simple language! it really is amazing.

My favorite chapters:

We can Only Survive Together,
Think like a Geographer,
Hope and Grief can Coexist,
Organizing Isn't Matchmaking, and
Mariame Kaba's conclusion: Beyond Doom, toward collective action.

Its been really easy for me to be cynical this year. This book has really rejuvenated my need to organize. I want to really read this again in community. Hopefully, I can find people (after the election, whatever the outcome).

This was an excellent delve into many systemic problems that persist in society and how we can address those issues. I feel like sometimes the topic jumped around, but overall the authors made excellent points.

Full of hope ❤️
