I will definitely be coming back to this book as a reference for organizing for social change. There were a few political opinions I didn't agree with  (like the idea that looting is a constructive form of protest) but the principals taught stand regardless. A good and inspiring read for sure.

A solid handbook on how to not be complacent while the world literally burns around us.

I am so grateful for this work. It answers the difficult question of “what comes first, societal change or a change in consciousness?” by recounting stories of care, reciprocity, courage, and active hope.
In order for our world to change, we need to have a vision of what to change it into. Do we want to build a world based on conflict and being “right”, or do we want to build a world based on love, common humanity, and a desire to improve the lives of ALL people? I choose the latter.

An inspiring and powerful book that is perfectly suited for the times and circumstances of the political climate we live in, this book above all else helps sustain collective hope and joy as a central component of revolution
