This was a timely read and I enjoyed some of the more relevant chapters. The chapter on hope in the midst of despair and grief with actionable steps particularly resonated with me. I bookmarked that chapter and will come back to it again.

It was an inspiring book, however, it needed better editing. The central message was beautiful and hopeful, I even highlighted a couple of quotes. Having said that, it was so repetitive and boring at times. Too many different voices and quotes from other authors and activists led to a distracting narrative. Genuinely, do you really need so many stories and paraphrases to say that community will save us over and over and over again? I would have preferred it if it were so much shorter.
