A book for our current moment. A beacon of hope. A roadmap in dark times. If I could have highlighted the whole thing, I would have. Highly recommend.

Overall, this is a very important and valuable book.

However, how the authors seem to avoid the “complicated” and ~listening~ to the full history with regard to Palestine/Israel on pages 123-127 unfortunately goes against some of organization practices they suggest in the rest of the book.

It is good and important to mention the struggle with the Israeli government and Palestinian freedom. However, they seem to be in the same mindset as many western leftists of ignoring the history of jewish existence and being colonized too in that land, and that Arab colonization is very much a thing in history.

A great reminder that individualism is a violent ideology and how to channel grief into mutual aid and collective action
