Intense

Based on the prologue in book 1, I should have expected how things would shake out here - but I didn’t. Mother Earth man, dang.

Plot develops, though it stumbles here and there. Olympian Gods, myths and magic, it’s all here and ripe for a new age of heroes. Can’t wait to see where it goes.

Love this series

I felt like I had just finished the second book… Until I realized that it was released in November! Somehow (and this is big for me) I still remember all of the details, characters and knew what was happening in the story. It did help that the author put a “what has happened thus far” in the beginning but I could have read the book without that. However, it was very helpful since it has been awhile since the last release, I wish more series did this. For me, it really says something about a series when I can have a decent amount of time between books and still remember many of the details.

This is definitely a slow burn romance, some spice but it’s not the main focus, it’s very much story based. The relationships do play a big role in the story so they are a bit of the
focus. I love the characters and I love how the world building has become more complex as the story continues. The author creatively utilized Greek mythology but with her own spin on some of the stories. While many are familiar, there are a few differences.

One thing I would like to complement this author on is her ability to write her characters so that we are able to easily differentiate them. I have no issue knowing who is who, and when the POV changes I know whose it is even if I hadn’t read the chapter header.

I love/hate that this is going to be a five book series because I cannot wait to see what happens next.

4.5/5

3

The third book in this series ups the stakes for sure. There are a lot of more action moments, while still leaving enough time for the relationships to come together more and more. I love that we’re starting to get some MM in this one, I’m all in!

When I finished, my first thought was ‘I need more’! I desperately need to know what happens and how everything will get solved while also needing more lovey dovey moments and getting to know the last soulbond more (I’m not putting his name even though everyone probably already knows who it is

I usually find that with urban fantasy, 5 books in a series is too much and the pace is extremely slow. This series is no exception.
It is starting to become boring, repetitive and boring.
