Normally I’m not an essays or collected stories kind of reader, but this was interesting and cute! Very short read if you are looking to laugh

I read most of this book while waiting at the Texas Dept of Public Safety to renew my license. That said, I don't think that effected my rating of this book as much as the fact that I had just finished reading Lisa Scottoline's second book of similar essays that I found far more relatable. Ephron is entertaining enough, but I didn't feel connected which I think is half the fun of reading what's meant to be a humorous book like this.

While I loved the stories of Nora Ephron's life as a journalist, and her e-mail rant made me laugh out loud, the rest of the book was only average. I found the last three essays in particular to be depressing - maybe I'm not old enough to appreciate them yet.
