I thought this would be like one of Erma Bombeck's books, just humor, but is more a memoir than a collection of humorous essays. While I am within 20 years of Nora Ephron's age, I had no idea who the people she was bragging about meeting were. I also found her a bit pompous. Parts of it were funny though. The end was sad particularly knowing that she died soon thereafter.

This was my first Ephron book, although I've thoroughly enjoyed her films. This isn't great -- it might even be closer to a 2.5 stars -- but it is incredibly readable, humorous, and downright hilarious in a couple spots. She was obviously a hugely talented writer that left us way too soon.
