I think I actually enjoyed the movie version more than the book- which is so rare for me. But the movie cut out some of the slow parts from the book, and made the main character have more of a back bone.

This book had a lot of promise, however the execution was poor. The use of made up slang might have worked if it were better explained, but the way that it was mostly left to reader interpretation was disappointing.
I think that the pacing of the story was rushed in some areas, and seemed to drag on in others.
Overall, I think that the book had a really unique concept, however Dashner was not the author to do it justice unfortunately.

This isn’t my first dystopia book that i’ve read but holy this was good. This was my first time reading it after seeing the movie not too long ago and ofc I still cried. Overall, I enjoyed reading this a lot!
