I'm not usually one for enemies-to-lovers but this was a fun take on it. Going after the other's ex/best friend was not what I expected but it was interesting. I like the plotting and scheming between Aphrodite and Hephaestus. I do think their change of heart towards each other was a bit unrealistic but it is what it is. I will continue to read these though. I feel I committed myself so far, I have to finish.

I’m already entrenched in this world, and its characters, and I cant wait to pick up each new installment. As the dedication in this one notes, its messy. In all the best possible ways. Eris as the new Aphrodite is ensuring a spectacle as she marries Theseus, the new and dangerous, Hephaestus- breaking Adonis’ heart. Political games afoot, cautious about potential allies like Pandora, and city in turmoil - what happens next is a quick, and spicy, turn of events.

I wasn't sure where the book was going to go after the last one and this did not disappoint! I loved this book, I would say it's my second favorite compared to Neon Gods!
