I've always heard that Ann Rule was the queen of true crime, but until Bitter Harvest, I had never experienced her writing. I was careful not to read the back of the book, out of fear there would be spoilers, and just picked a random Ann Rule book. I found that it read quite a bit like a thriller. Rule knows how to make non fiction engrossing.
