Thank you Netgalley for the advanced reading copy! Crystal is a fitness Instagram influencer, who meets Scott, a buff firefighter, at the gym. After some arguments about sharing workout equipment, Crystal and Scott find out there is attraction and family connections. But ultimately old insecurities and Internet trolls threaten to get in the way of their happy ending. This was a cute, romantic comedy that had good pacing. This is Amy Lea’s debut romance, and it moves pretty quickly and does a good job at covering the serious topic and issues with the “body positivity” movement, as well as being cute and enjoyable. Scott is a great cinnamon roll hero, who falls for Crystal quickly and is the sweetest, watching movies with her, bringing her clementines, and having a very adorable dog. This is a quick, easy story that is a perfect May read as we enter into summer. I recommend this book for lovers and fans of romantic comedies, inclusive fitness, and bi-racial identity stories.
