There were a lot of things I liked about this book and there was one major thing that annoyed the heck out of me. Seeing their relationship progress was nice and I liked that they were just normal people. They’d run errands together or work out or watch a movie. Nothing big and glamorous and that’s fine. Very relatable. Her breakdown and constant mistrust of him was extremely irritating… though I appreciated how she eventually worked through that and got to a good place. On the whole, it was pretty good.

If you enjoyed The Love Hypothesis or The Spanish Love Deception, you’re going to enjoy this. The pace of the writing is fun, the banter isn’t repetitive, you don’t feel the story dragging anywhere, and the addition of Albus is perfect. And who doesn’t love a firefighter in a romance novel?

There were some cute moments that I did enjoy, but the rest of it...was an experience. The big drama at the end had me rolling my eyes so hard that they almost ended up stuck that way. The message was cute and sweet, but the drama was gag worthy. Also, I almost dnfd after the 50th reference to a popular actor or character in comparison to the hot guy at the moment. Like...cmon...I don't want to know who you were picturing for the love interest okay

DID NOT FINISH: 8%

I did not get very far in this book, but it was not keeping my attention.  I found what little inaction between the main characters to be a bit boring.  It may get better the futher you get in the book but unfortunately I will not be continuing to find out.

3.5 stars. I enjoyed listening to this book but was rolling my eyes at the end when it got a bit too “after school special” for me.

I really did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I did!! I was just needing an audiobook to get through my spring cleaning and then I couldn’t stop!!
The author did a really good job writing about influencers, body positivity and our daily struggles. The relationship between Christal and Scott seemed so realistic too. No super cringey third act breakup!

Eu ia dar 4 estrelas a este livro, mas o número de vezes que a palavra “alpha” foi usada para descrever o personagem principal masculino… O dia em que os escritores pararem de usar essa palavra em livros de romance é o dia em que sou feliz.

BookTok Tiktok kept recommending this, so I read it. Cute, funny, fast read. Plot twists were a little predictable, but still fun and executed well.
