2024 read:
couldn’t tell u why I love this series so much but I do so here we are again
2022:
I fuckin love this book. The characters are so good and the banter is genuinely funny to me. Great story, way more plot than the other books in this series if you're into that (just the right balance of plot and romance for me tbh).
The ONLY thing is there's a moment of dubious consent - not regarding sex itself, but bc this is ~omegaverse~ there's a moment where someone bites someone else and they didn't ask first. It ends up being fine (not that that excuses it, obviously) but it's bugged me a bit both times I've read this. Doesn't REALLY take away from the enjoyment of the story for me personally but just kind of left a weird taste in my mouth so. 4 stars instead of 5.

Wanting to get to this book was actually the reason I started reading the Sweetverse and it didn’t disappoint. This has easily become my favourite book in the series! I loved all the characters and the way they played off one another and I particularly loved Eve and Rory 😏. I know there’s another book before Faiths but my temptation to completely skip it is so great.
I’ve been craving a try badass FMC for a long fucking time and this book hit all the right spots and scratched my itch perfectly. Eve was an addictive and intriguing character from the get-go and getting to see how her bonds with the other members grew throughout the book was such a fun ride.
This was really a breath of fresh air because I didn’t really enjoy the last book and was getting kind of fatigued with the series as a result. I’m firmly in it again and I just hope the next book doesn’t do me dirty before I get to Faith’s.

Unlikable cast
There was nothing I liked about this book. Eve is the worst character ever and I finally closed the book at 20% in absolute disgust. I feel so bad for Adam. The three other alphas were barely introduced, but I’m sure they were nasty as well. I think the cameo of Lola and her guys was a nice visit and I didn’t like her much either.

I listened to this as an audiobook via Audible.
The performance was amazing, and I highly recommend!
Genre: Adult Omegaverse
Spice: 3/5

OH MY FXXXXXING GOD....can I just say this is my second fave book in his series next to Lola and the Millionaires.
SOME SPOILERS SO STOP READING IF YOU MUST!!!!
Let me be clear EVE is that Bitch...she is a queen who knows what she wants and takes and asks questions never. Literally she is the center of the pack and the glue literally holding the lonely individuals together. I loved how she was introduced in Lola's book and now in her own book her mission is to Kill an Omega (Adam), who she ends up bonding falling for. Even though she gives you that I don't give a fuck demenor she absolutely cares she is just really good at compartmentalizing her emotions due to her tramatic upbringing. Considering it is rare for female Alphas to exist. She literally had to fight her way to being as tough as she was.
So character from most fave to least(not really least just not fave fave if you know what I mean) fave. So again Eve top tear character, loved how her development was slow and steady...def showcased imaculate growth as a person. Like who doesn't love a dominate female who can hold her own in the bedroom and as an assassin. 2nd Fave was Rory, ok so my man literally was the definition of could kill you but is a cinnamon roll. He comes off as really dominate but is literally a pussycat cause he likes to be dominated in the bed room. Dude literally was whipped by Eve, she had my guy DOWN BAD....like is is dangerous in his own right, just likes to be dominated...this fictionally was my type of man. Loved loved loved him. Now Jamie was the silent but deadly type, he was to me what I consider Eve's equal, like the most compatible. Like she felt nonthreatened by him but knew that he could handle his own. He was like her confidant and she felt he understood her in a different way. He was a cinammon roll who could kill you, I like to think

So I’m not usually one for the alpha/beta/omega stuff but I’ll read anything by Kathryn Moon! I was like enough to beta read this one for her and it’s great! Eve is a tough cookie and an alpha with no desire for a pack and then she ends up finding the perfect one for her! Each of the guys has a distinct personality and aspect that compliments her really well. They all just work together and I love them! Definitely excited for more!

An omega running for his life tricks the women that was sent to kill him to bond with him instead, what could go wrong?
Kathryn Moon never misses. She is the queen of omegaverse! Every book has a completely different dynamic from the previous book which keeps it interesting. In this case, the FMC Eve, isn’t an omega or a beta but an alpha. Not just any alpha but one that dominates everyone else. She’s tough and very closed off so it was fun seeing how the pack wiggled their way through her defences.
I typically like OVs because of how sweet they are and I love seeing a bunch of people doting on the MC but that isn’t what happens here. Eve is fairly cold, doesn’t like being touched or held and is very independent so there weren’t many cosey moments. It was still an interesting dynamic to read about though. I haven’t read maybe books where the FMC is the dominant one but it was fun and new. I liked the guys too. I didn’t love them but they were good MMCs and fit well with Eve.
The plot in this one was actually more interesting than the others. It wasn’t just an evil omega but a whole corrupt business trying to kill Adam. I have been dragging my feet reading all of her OVs because they’re so good and I don’t want to finish them so quickly but I might just have to jump right into the next one this time!

That was unexpectedly good. Variations off the traditional erotica-romance includes (1) omegaverse style universe, (2) thriller action, (3) redemption arc of the assassin bad girl as strong as one normally sees for male characters. (a female redemption arc is something several author friends have talked about)
Works as a stand-alone (I did not read the rest of the series ... though I might now!).
Yeah, this really is a thriller with the central heroine an assassin. She is really GOOD at being BAD. Can an omega con-man and a para-military barely-there (non-shifter) pack survive the taming of this feral Alpha? Especially when she has an international human slavery ring after her?
(I think the human slavery ring is the on-going plotline connecting the Sweet Omegaverse series.)
This has the best action-fight scenes I have EVER read in an erotica-romance. I read a lot of paranormal romance, so this is actually a higher bar than you would expect for the romance genre and Ms. Moon doesn't just break previous records, she destroys them. This book would work as a VERY good thriller if the reverse harem was removed.
But that would be a horrible loss, removing the reverse harem. All the men are distinctive personalities, strong interpersonal relationships. Characters DEVELOP and CHANGE. Grow stronger. The M-M romance within the harem is wonderfully sweet. The heroine develops different relationships with each of her harem.
Really, this book is an amazing example of its genre and completely spoils me in my expectations for other Omegaverse-style books.
