Eve takes being a femme fatale very seriously - emphasis on fatale. She was such a badass, stone cold, and super untrusting. She, Adam, and the rest of the pack had a really rough start. And middle. Adam was such a fun character, with his hatred of his designation and his love of being a con artist. Eve and Garrett helped him find his footing without losing himself entirely. Jamie is what dreams are made of. Seriously, can I get a carbon copy? He was so patient and compassionate but also stood his ground. Rory was Mr grumpy teddy bear and he and Eve had quite the volatile dynamic. Eve was allowed and encouraged to continue being her truest self, while learning to let others in. I thought by the end of the book the pack was very well balanced, and each of the main characters cared for each other, whether platonically or romantically.
Spice: 5/5
Triggers: violence, gore, murders (using guns, knives, and strangulation), trafficking, dubcon, SA of side character on page (low detail), captivity, discussion of child abuse and bullying, drugging, severe illness and injury, stalking by non main characters (with aim of murder)

4 stars.
Liked this on the same level as Lola. Liked that there was a female alpha involved and the whole mercenary aspect.
Shouldn’t have binged this though because the pay off didn’t feel as great as I would have wanted it to be, especially such a large book

This was the first ABO book I've read until the end and it really surprised me. I have a few problems with omegaverse as a concept and its tropes, mostly about the lack of consent that is build into many of the stories, but Kathryn's world addresses this in a GOOD way. It addresses the unfairness of the biologic existentialism that's built into the omegaverse concept and it manages to take the interesting parts (packs, bonds, etc) while exploring the ways the bad parts (the inevitability of alpha-omega connections, the violence and toxic masculinity attributed to Alphas, etc) can lead to oppression.
I really love all the dynamics here and the character arcs. It was refreshing to have a female alpha as one of the main characters, and the way Eve learned how to trust, how to accept help, how she learned that she didn't need to be strong alone was amazing. I also loved how absolutely *all* men of her pack are submissive and breedable, even the more "aggressive" ones (I'd argue that he's the most submissive and breedable of ALL, but I digress) and the Female Alpha/Male Omega dynamics was really interesting (I love how both Adam and Eve are sort of bad at their roles, they're a really good match).
Kathryn is really good at developing their intimacy and building the pack in a way that, by the end, it's believable that this group of people care for each other in a feral, protective way. It was a really great read and made me curious to read all the other Sweetverse books to see the different ways that she handles the omegaverse.
Ah, there's a detail that I think people should know: don't go into this expecting the whole book to be as action packed as the beginning. After 30% or so, everything takes a more domestic turn and it's focused on the character development of the pack as a whole, the plot of Omikrom and the Omega Traffic taking a backseat. There's some resolution to this, but there's opening to another book. While I love this structure, I'm aware that there are people that may not like it or be disappointed by it, so dive into this book with this knowledge in mind.
All in all, it was a great, fun, sexy read that left me wanting more.

Bad Ass Alpha
Another incredible story by Kathryn Moon! I absolutely love this author’s writing! Adam and Eve are sneaky and mysterious and absolute chaos for the other 3 alphas! I did not expect for the omega to be a male and have this bad ass killer alpha female but Eve is literally a wrecking ball everyone needs in their life. She doesn’t listen to no one and won’t back down from anything! I honestly did not expect the ending it gave but it was really good and I cannot wait for the next omegaverse book!

Seeing as Lola and the Millionaires is my happy go-to read, I knew I'd love this one as well.
And I did. 100%
Kathryn Moon can do no wrong as every single one of her books are just chefs kiss, perfection.
I can't wait for the next one as I'm not ready to let Omegaverse go <3

This was really good! It was cinema! (or at least the book equivalent of cinema) I love Eve so much! She really is a badass alpha. You can see how much she wanted to remain apathetic to everyone and their emotions, but slowly opened herself up to the feelings. Ugh! this was too good. I’m so ready to start Faith’s story!

This one I liked less because of the amount of fight scenes. I want romance not fighting.
This series feel formulaic which I do not like. I saw it since book 2.
