This was a fun Nikki Sloane read but while it was decently spicy- it was not Nikki Sloane spicy. It felt tame for her. The ending felt a little rushed. If you’re going to do a third act breakup- make that man grovel. And grow. But mostly grovel. Also her becoming a celebrity chef but never going to culinary school absolutely made me roll my eyes. I still loved the pining I just felt like it was missing a little magic.

Not my fav of the series but it was fine

This for sure was a spicy one! However, something about this story felt like it was missing for me, maybe partly because its been a hot minute since I read the last one. Preston shows Sydney who is his best friend Colin's little sister, how to be a bad girl because she asks him to. Quite a few scenes. I just think being defiant to her parents this way was a bit extreme. I'm not sure if I agree with how the reactions went when people found out they were together towards the end. I do think this series should be read in order because characters crossover a tiny bit. Overall, I'm ready for something different from Nikki next.
