I didn't want to read this book...

Only because that meant there were no more Morgan Brothers and one of my favorite series was coming to an end.

I thought I had my favorite Morgan brother already but as it turns out, just like all the others, Lauren Rowe makes you fall in love with Dax. Not only Dax but Violet too. There were times while reading that all I wanted to do was go into the book and hug her.

Even though Violet and Dax meet and its instant attraction!! Dax is headed on his first tour and thus the angst ensues. Not only are they having to deal with his rising star but there are a few unexpected road blocks that come up that make you wonder how it's all going to work out? Is it insta-lust or love at first sight?? Is it going to be worth all the heartache that is sure to follow?? Lauren keeps us on our toes and also entertains us with Daxy's wonderful songs that will make anyone wish they had their own Rock Star to serenade them.

If you are a fan or Lauren Rowe you will not be disappointed in the youngest brother and his way with the women and if you are new to her you will quickly find out why and how so many readers have fallen in love with the Morgan Clan and will be sorry to see them go.
Here is to crossing our fingers for maybe a next generation series and possibly a Reed River's???

This Rockstar is the real thing

The Morgan family is all about love. This Rockstar learns he is too. The One and Only sashshays into his life looking like Uma Thurman disco Elvis and he was gone.

Gone for her looks. Gone for her eyebrow quirk and her get over here scowl. Lost in her beauty. Lost in their chemistry. Lost in his immediate future and afraid to take a leap.

Well, lucky for him, Lauren Rowe, knew his future or Daxy would still be in misery. Fall hard for the hottie with the booty and swoon for his words but love him unconditionally when he shows you his heart!

While I'm sad all the Morgans have their ever afters (without me!), I'm just glad to have been lurking in their shadows! #honorarymorgan

Hold up, I’m like 99% positive the man on this cover is Luke Eisner, one of my favorite artists ever. I have to read this now. It’s a must.

2.5 stars. I dunno man, this book just wasn’t as good as the rest in the series. If I’m being honest I skimmed that last 50% and then devoured Maddy and Keane’s epilogue because

Dax and Violet gave me all the fireflies!!!

I'm blown away by Lauren Rowe's brilliance. The women has completely outdone herself. Rockstar is truly amazing. Sexy, swoony, forbidden, angsty and just overall entertaining, I did not want this book to ever end. The twist and turns...gah!...they set me off on a whirlwind of emotions. Weeks after reading and I'm still hungover. I love, love, loooove this book so dang much.

It's no secret that I am deeply in love with the Morgan family. Like desperately-wishing-they-were-real-and-wanting-to-be-one kind of love. However, if I'm honest, I felt a little disconnected from Dax before reading Rockstar. I didn't feel like I really knew him. Now that I've read his story... *blows out breath* y'all...Dax Morgan is EVERY. SINGLE. THING!! This supremely talented, sensitive, sexy man has stolen a giant piece of my heart. He so different from your typical rock star. Loyal and dedicated, I'm was crushing on him big time.

If falling for Daxy wasn't enough. Ms. Rowe throws in the sweetest, most kind hearted, human being ever. I couldn't help but fall for Violet too. She's had a lot to deal with growing up, leaving her with some insecurities. But still, her spirit and good radiated off the page.

The instant connection between these two really make this book. They're so perfectly matched. I couldn't get enough of their chemistry. *dreamy sigh* Soo in love with their love.

You do not have to read the previous Morgan Brothers books to read this one. I feel like Rockstar had a different vibe from the other books. It still had Lauren Rowe's typical humor and heart. It just had something extra that really took Rockstar to another level. If you want a book that will make you laugh, cry, swoon and fall in love, then you need Rockstar in you life ASAP.

Also, Can we find Fish a nice girl, please?!

Overall I did really like this book. There were a few twists I didn’t see coming, which I always enjoy.

Rockstar was an amazing read and one that made me want to go back and re-read the entire Morgan Brothers series again. That, for me, is one of the marks of a truly amazing book. To have this story play out and have me keep thinking about how I need to go back and re-read all the books so I can read this one again in context with everyone else's story was so great. I love when that happens. When you get to the end of something and want to re-live all of it all over again. I love this family and all the people they bring into it!

Dax and Violet were amazing together. Dax can be a bit...well a bit of a stereotypical guy at times. The ones were they don't really get it and don't understand why what they do could upset the other person. He doesn't always get it right away, but luckily he has great friends and family who tell him when he is being an idiot about something. That point him in the right direction. He is a sweetheart and his heart is in the right place, he just doesn't always use his words.

Now Violet? Gah! She killed me! She is the sweetest person ever! My heart was so full reading her. She is so wonderful and kind and caring. The things she goes through and how she reacts to them? She is a class act. She is above and beyond. I don't know that I have ever met anyone as truly kind and wonderful as she is. I wanted nothing but the best for her even though her situation is a bit tricky. I had gotten an early copy of this book when I was lucky enough to meet the author at a signing and I asked her if this story would make me cry. Last time I saw her on the way to the event I was reading Hero and was that lady crying on the train that everyone looked at like should we do something?? Is everything okay?? And when it is "just" a book then you get some odd looks because no everyone gets it. Lauren said it made her cry, but it is a different kind of cry than Hero and after reading this I so see what she means. This is that kind of cry that I don't find very often, that I can only think of one other example of, the 'it is so touching and beautiful it makes me cry' cry. Because that is this story. So touching and beautiful and I didn't want it to end.

Dax and Violet do not have the easiest of times because of the situation they are in. They both obviously care about the other deeply in a very short amount of time, but circumstances being what they are make being together difficult. I loved Dax and how he could be all in, but cautious, even though he at times was overly cautious. And Violet is just the best. These two were wonderful to read and I loved seeing the rest of the Morgan's in there as well. Oh, it was a great story and now I need to go re-read them all. I want more Morgan brothers!
