Scared the shit out of me

The best part are when the author talks about the counseling sessions she has with clients. The book can take leaps as it tries to tie together some anecdotes with data that aren’t the strongest of arguments.

This gave me very conflicting emotions between feeling comforted but also anxious about being in my 20s. I found a lot of the advice, particularly in the chapter about work, very useful and even made me feel better about where I am.

However, the chapters on relationships and children felt a bit traditional and overwhelming. It read as if romantic relationships are the most important thing and kind of contradicted the rest of the book. These chapters also made me feel pretty anxious and wildly behind,  which I think kind of defeated the purpose.

Very good. As a twenty-something reading this has put a lot of things in perspective.

4.5/5 A book full with really helpful moments of honest/tough delivery from someone who understands where you’re coming from and has no intention of letting you stay there.

Really makes you think. Reading this in mid 20s is a good time for it. Maybe I am underemployed

A good piece of comedy except the author is for real. Read for a very narrow-minded view of traditional, capitalistic expectations.
