this was so lovely and calming, i cannot wait to explore more of her work
i also feel like she is the person k aspire to be but ultimately cannot because i hate bugs, moisture and being cold

I love everything Robin Wall Kimmerer writes. This one is no exception, and I learned quite a lot about something I knewnearly nothing about. The pacing is a bit odd—some chapters flow by, and others are very in the weeds—or, moss, rather—and feel a bit like reading a text book. But I love her anecdotes and her poetry.

Just like moss, it grows slowly. But by the end, it's a beautiful carpet to lay in and dream. I can tell it's one I'll keep coming back to over and over again throughout the years, to remember the lessons of this tiny green friend. Five stars ♥️

A very enjoyable book to read aloud with my partner, often during camping trips. It really made us stop and look at mosses more often when hiking and gave us more of an appreciation for their little micro-ecosystems. I did not enjoy this book nearly as much as Braiding Sweetgrass though - it was pleasant and interesting, but didn't feel as impactful or eye opening.

I liked this so much more than Braiding Sweetgrass. It's an anthology of moss that weaves together lots of great information into a narrative style.

Highly recommend
