I immediately fell for Stephanie Plum ... how can you not! She is a train wreck with plenty of mascara, and a fantastic family! Can't wait for more adventures!
BTW ... I am TOTALLY Team Ranger! Also Lula is AMAZING ... we all need a Lula in our lives! I have decided I want to be adopted by the Plums so I can have a Grama Mazur!
I have read the first 22 as well as the In-Between the Plums stories and I am so ready for the next several!

Cute, quick read. I haven't read any other Stephanie Plum books, but after reading this short Christmas story, I may pick one up.
Ummm... what did I just read?!
The supernatural element threw me off for the entire book because I couldn’t tell if I was supposed to accept that there was suddenly an unexplained paranormal element to a series that’s never had paranormal bits in it, or if it was going to be revealed that it wasn’t actually supernatural at all.
Nope. I guess it was supernatural and I was just meant to accept that it randomly was a plot point in this book despite the rest of the series (at least, what I’ve read of it) being very down to earth.
Also, very rushed like many other reviewers have said.
I feel like this book was more a way to further pad the author’s pockets in between main installments in the series than anything that was truly written with fans of the series in mind. (And I mean, authors gotta make a living too, which is fine... but at least write something you can be unabashedly proud of! Even the little holiday novellas!) Mostly because this felt very sloppy and messily done even compared with the rest of the series (which is far from high literature). The writing style was even more conversational and casual than I’m used to, and so much of the story just zipped along with minimal explanation.
The only good part was some of the snappy dialogue and the introduction (at least, for me) of Stephanie’s sister.

I needed to read this book yesterday. Stephanie Plum serves as a huge pick me up for me. This book did not disappoint. A little different than the full lake Plum mysteries. There was even a bit of the supernatural, but otherwise pretty much true to Evanovich's form.
