Engaging and compelling. The action translates well so it can be properly enjoyed in reading the play vs viewing it (which can be an issue I have with a lot of Shakespeare's plays. They just typically aren't as good without actors bringing them to life). The emotional elements are very strong and the sheer humanity of the characters is gripping. I find myself enraged but also enthralled by so much of what happens. Because I am aware of some criticisms on this play, some of the characters are indeed racist and sexist but the play itself isn't inherently either.
Othello is stupid, this tragedy could have been prevented sooo easily if he fucking listened Desdemona or Emilia. Stupid men. Anyways I read this for one of my classes and apart from the stupidity of Othello, it was good, better than I thought it would be.

Acompañada del podcast "The literaly life Podcast", me ha llevado a disfrutarla mucho meditando sobre todos sus personajes y la trama que envuelve. Cómo siempre Shakespeare es un maestro de la palabras, y esta obra para mí, su esencia está justo en ese efecto de las palabras en el corazón humano y esas intenciones que también las acompañan cuando salen. En el dominio de las pasiones, la fortaleza de carácter y sobre el discernimiento. Poder aprender a leer a los otros y a nosotros mismo. De verdad, que ninguna de estas obras han sido un desperdicio.
