This book is really special! I liked how it triggered long forgotten memories of the movies I watched when I was a child.

Bastian is a boy of ten and he feels unsatisfied with his life and himself. His mother died, he gets bullied and his father acts distant. You wouldn't think that a book could make things different but the neverending story sure can.

The concept of the plot and the two colours is genius. The world Ende created is beautiful and terrifying at the same time and his characters are believable and interesting. The book feels as if there is a lot of deeper meaning beyond the pages that is highly philosophical in a very unique way that doesn't feel pretentious at all. It reminded me a bit of his dark materials, which I loved as well.

I enjoyed every page and I would recommend it to anyone who likes fantasy stories.
