Really good debut. LONG but decent world building. Interesting combination of graphic war college, political intrigue, family history and mystery, psychological/psychiatric thriller, and evolving love triangle. 
Some twists obvious, some completely shocking. 
Lovable and flawed FMC. Equally lovable MMC with complex revelation and well-paced development/progression. Love-to-hate secondary MMC villain with well-paced development and improvement. Great side characters. 
A bit violent; otherwise solid. Heartbreaking twists at the ending.
