Que buen volumen, no me canso de repetir lo maravilloso que es el mundo creado en Invecinble y como cada vez las responsabilidades aumentan y los desafíos se complejizan.
Uno de mis favoritos sin duda

Another great volume, another reminder that no one is safe.

Invincible and the Guardians of the Globe defend against the Martian threat. Interesting story and some character development but mostly an action packed volume that showcases Kirkman's prowess for suspense.

Summary:

Mark Grayson has always known he had a better-than-average chance of succeeding with superpowers. After all, his father has them and promised to inherit them someday. This helped prepare Mark for superhero life long before those powers came to be.

Mark is quickly learning that there is too much in his life to juggle – not without dropping a ball or two. His grades are suffering, his relationship is changing, and he hardly sees his family. Something has to change. Meanwhile, the other heroes of Earth are facing their own ups and downs. There are celebrations and losses all over.

Review:

Once again, fans are delivered with a complex reading experience, thanks to Invincible Vol. 8. There is so much going on at any given time it makes it impossible for readers to predict what will happen next.

Perhaps that's why the emotional gut punches always hit so hard? I know this series doesn't pull punches, yet I'm always surprised when it happens. For example, there's a pretty big one in Invincible Vol. 8, yet I kept reading, expecting it to be some sort of fakeout (I still almost feel like it will be).

The thing I loved the most about this volume is Mark grappling with everything in his life. He's been ignoring it for a while now (eight volumes), so it was refreshing to see him make a decision. And the decision was even a pretty mature one. Yes, I'm sure it will lead to more complications, but only time will tell.

Meanwhile, several new arcs have kicked off. Once again, I have no idea where they will lead or how bad it will get. Clearly, I'm going to have to keep reading to find out.

Highlights:
