The series really comes into its own here.  Loved the payoff. Mark has grown and the second half of the book was pretty epic.  Enjoyable, as always.

I'm really enjoying enjoying watching Mark grow as a person. Reading this series it's giving me Buffy flashbacks; when I rewatched that series as an adult I had so much respect and empathy for Buffy because she deals with so much pretty bullshit even when her life is constantly in danger. Mark hasn't been given a single chance to stop and process; I don't think there was a single scene in this volume where he even sat down. Somehow, he's still becoming a pretty incredible adult. Dang.
