Hands down; this is THE book. This book is the one that showed me my love for reading. 10/10. And bring tissues.

This is an amazing story about an unlikely friendship. While it follows Jesse and what he wants or he thinks he wants until he meets Leslie and his life is instantly changed for the better. He gets to escape his everyday world and enter the world of Terabithia all because of Leslie. When she passes away because she went to Terabithia by herself he learns what Leslie was trying to help him achieve.

I know I read this as a kid but I didn't have a strong memory of it and I'm not sure how old I was. I remember The Great Gilly Hopkins (which my grade 6 teacher read aloud) and Jacob Have I Loved (I owned a copy and read it more than once) much more distinctly.

At first I felt the book had dated a bit too much but it soon sucked me in and those feelings disappeared.

Such a powerful story.

I read this book when I was younger. I don't remember specifics but I do remember crying so hard that I couldn't breathe. It was one of my favorite books for a long time. I would love to read it again.

I read this in the fourth grade and fell in love with it. Jess Aarons is an amazing person who is having a hard time. Leslie is a girl who knows who she is and just where she belongs. Together they escape to the imaginary land of Terabithia. There they find that the world can be whatever they want it to be. This is a book that I would recommend to anyone over the age of ten who has yet to read it!
