Just fun.

Reading with my tween

This second book in The Tiffany Aching series was as fun to read as the first. It can only be described as Terry Pratchett writing as he wrote. Nac Mac Feegles, hats, witches, and an "other type entity" entwined with Tiffany to create an interesting story (I suppose you could say shamble) that My 11yo loved. We will be reading the whole series.

I'm finding, as I work my way slowly through the Discworld series from beginning to end, that I've never a few of them before! I'm aghast. This, clearly, is one of those. And right now I can categorically state that the witch novels are my favourites in the Discworld world. However, I will undoubtedly change my mind when I read the next sub-series one within the whole.

How I love these books.

Tiffany is such a great character. The hazards and the advantages of seeing yourself, or trying to see yourself...

This was an excellent follow up to [b:The Wee Free Men|34494|The Wee Free Men (Discworld)|Terry Pratchett|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1168566154s/34494.jpg|62580]. I read/listened to this one. It was read by the same narrator as the previous book. I have to say there are just some books that are truly enhanced by the narrator's contribution. This is just such a book. Stephen Briggs' tone and candor give the story life. Especially when he reads the Nac Mac Feegle parts.

The story was just as engaging, humorous and entertaining as its predecessor. I'm off to the next book (and will likey be sad that the adventure is over).

Read within 24 hours. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy

Brilliant. I really can't believe I never read the Tiffany books the first time I read through the Discworld series. It's great though having 'new’ Pratchett books to read. Another superb antagonist in what is quite a dark story in some ways. But the Feegles and the junior witches provide plenty of comedic relief with some added depth. Really looking forward to Wintersmith, once I get to it

I won't reread this right away, however, I really enjoy Tiffany and the Wee Free Men and have ordered the next in the series.

I love Pratchett's books, I adore most of his characters, but Granny is amongst my favorite and the more I read the more Tiffany is becoming one too.
