these books are so fucking good. i’m not sure why there was such a long break for me between reading the first two, then continuing on, but i’m so back on the hype train for this series. overall, the story here was rather simple, but it’s written in such a way that the story just keeps unfolding and the drama with it.

i feel like this is the textbook example of how you make a simple conflict between two groups of people in isolated space super fucking interesting.

can’t wait for more!

Seems like stories that seemed a little more boring in the TV series, are more interesting ones in the books. Meaning that I really liked this one.

As per usual, I enjoyed this book in The Expanse series. I found this book to be right on point for the usual plot line for Holden and his crew. I actually enjoyed the pace of this book too where with the previous books, I often found myself get in a lull. It could have been for the absolute entertaining villain in this book, Murtry, who was referred to as "...a flaming asshole" and most definitely was one. The only thing I am going to nitpick in this book are the spelling errors I ran across (Felcia vs Felica, and also oncocidals vs onococidals) and the ending wrapped up just a little too quickly for my liking. Overall 4.5/5 but rounded up.
