For super long time I’m trying to finish this crap to get it off my list, but every time I’m getting back to it, it feels like super freaking waste of time. So sorry for interesting story which is generally contained within this series (not this particular entry), although this series was never about writing style (IMO) - which is over-simplistic.
Another solid entry that I did enjoy, but like the last volume, a lot of words for very little happening. Despite this, I did enjoy it, but I am finding now that I am four into this series, that The Expanse villain's are just vanilla bad. We know nothing about them most of the time. They don't develop, and they are bad for just being the bad guy. The villain in this book was this way. Never do we learn why and what motivates this character other than it is his job.
And like the last volume,

another person "gets off" easily. Basia, who knowingly attacked and killed people through a bad decision at the time, just gets a pass because he's good dad. Sorry, like Melba, completely terrible resolution. Hopefully, character development improves in this series.
This was a big improvement on #3. Still plenty of violence, but not as bad as that one.
Reread following end of television series. This one is possibly the one to which the television series adhered most closely. I like Amos and Avasarala more and more.

I was quite interested in the fact that they brought Bobbie back just in the very beginning. I was looking forward to her being a central character in this book, but then she diseappeared altogether until the epilogue. I like that character; I guess that she will play a greater role in #5.Reread following end of television series. This one is possibly the one to which the television series adhered most closely. This was my favorite one! Really strong characters and human stories while expanding the scope and scale of where the series is going. Looking forward to continuing!

For some reason, I was a little indifferent to the first quarter of the book. The last 3/4 was amazing.

I really really loved the beginning of the book, but by golly I kept falling asleep in the last few chapters for some reason. Splitting the main party felt dramatic, but I appreciated that the various POVs, done in the usual style, aligned much faster because of it.
